Wines are available to purchase two ways: Duty Paid or In Bond. Buying wine Duty Paid means you pay the current level of Duty and VAT, which is necessary when purchasing to drink straight away or store in your home cellar.

Purchasing wine In Bond means Duty and VAT is not paid at point of purchase. Wine purchased In Bond is sent to a professional storage provider for cellaring. When the owner wants to take delivery of this wine, they will be issued with an invoice for tax based on the price at which the wine was originally purchased. More information can be found here.
