It’s clear we have an incredible vintage on our hands, the likes of which only gets seen a handful of times in a generation.
While 2022 will be remembered throughout Europe for being a hot vintage, Bordeaux has learned much since 2003, and the vintages bear almost no resemblance to one another. 2022 can immediately be characterised by freshness and balance. Across the board quality is high, and where estates have produced arguably their best Grand Vins ever, the baby wines are just as impressive. This is a vintage that will immediately impress, but has the acidity and structure to last decades. Buy broadly and deeply, your future self will thank you.
