This is a harmonious and seductive Vaudésir with just the right amount of spice on the finish. One of the best from Billaud-Simon this year and thoroughly recommended.

The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru is a blend of three parcels that add up to about a half hectare. Ample, powerful and creamy in the glass, the 2018 possesses terrific richness in all of its dimensions. Dried pear, almond, crushed flowers and herbs give the Vaudésir a distinctly savory profile that is quite attractive, while the fruit is more pushed into the background. Even with all of its natural breadth, the 2018 retains a good bit of mineral underpinning.
