Old Orkney Malt 21 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70CL)
A multi-vintage, small batch 21 year old Orkney single malt, bottled at natural cask strength with a beautiful and rich sherrywood influence. Decadent Drinks married together equal parts Orkney Malt from two different casks. First, a 2003 plain oak refill hogshead, second, a 1999 1st fill ex-bodega sherry butt. The whisky from these two casks was combined and married in a 2nd fill sherry butt for at least six months, before being bottled at natural cask strength.
The result is a big, very robust and well-sherried Orkney single malt, with a very rugged, drying and salty sherry profile, underpinned by a gentle thread of Orcadian peat smoke. Old school and hugely characterful Orkney single malt!
