This is an archetypal Pouilly Fumé, harnessing the signature flinty minerality and nettley end of Sauvignon Blanc, but also its riper, blackcurrant-leaf tones. It’s the work of an historic family domaine whose heritage dates back centuries but has particularly thrived under the three generations since Michel Redde himself took charge in the 1950s. Today run by his grandsons Sébastien and Romain, whose ambition is evident in their range of single-vineyard wines, the domaine’s overall quality is seen in this Moynerie bottling, a blend of older-vine plots named in honour of the monks who used to farm this land.
