2020 Barolo Classico, Voerzio Martini (6 x Bottle)
The fruit for Voerzio-Martini's Barolo Classico hails from Boiolo, La Serra, and Cerequio, co-fermented with the vineyards being blended at harvest time. A big step up on their Langhe Nebbiolo, and a lot more serious. Crushed violets and rose petal, it is all about the florality and perfume here. The tannins are there but soft, and gently caress rather than grip. Excellent length, this will undoubtedly be one of the best-value wines we offer from the vintage.

Vinous
The 2020 Barolo is a big wine. Black cherry, spice, leather, tobacco and incense hit the palate as this fleshy, upfront red makes a strong opening statement. Forward and juicy, the straight Barolo is not terribly complex, but it is delicious and very easy to like. It’s also sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The only thing missing is a bit more polish on the finish.
