2018 Barolo, Bricco Fiasco, Azelia
A serious step up from the blended Barolo, showcasing more power and elegance with a lot more grip and tannin. Bricco Fiasco is a relatively sandy plot at the top of the Fiasco hill in Casitiglione Falleto, planted with 70-year-old vines. The sandiness of the soil results in incredible aromatic complexity – seriously moreish. Drink 2026-2040

Vinous
The 2018 Barolo Bricco Fiasco is light, washed out and lacking in both depth and complexity. There is just not much here, sadly. Faded color and dried out fruit are impossible to look past.
