In The Press

We’re incredibly proud of the wines we offer, and know they are all delicious – but you don’t just have to take our word for it. If you're looking for some expert recommendations, the wines below have all been highlighted by leading wine critics.

2020 Blanc de Blancs, Harrow & Hope

Third Place, English Sparkling in Gentleman's Journal Drinks Awards 2026. 'A lithe, citrus-bright bottling that showcases the chalky brilliance of Buckinghamshire terroir.'

2023 Quimerino Blanco, Achaval Ferrer

This refreshing blend marries Sauvignon Blanc's zestiness and herbal lift with the nuttiness and luscious stone fruit of Marsanne and Roussane. Pure, fluid, with a lovely intensity and vivid acid. Great brunch wine. Ines Salpico,Decanter

2024 Riesling Pan de Azucar, Bodega Bouza

Riesling is often called ‘the queen of grapes’ and Alsace in France has long been its royal keep. But Uruguay, one of South America’s most underrated wine regions, is now pumping out outstanding rieslings that could rival top French producers.

This Uruguayan riesling, from Jeroboams, has that intoxicating petrol minerality you expect from Alsace with a glorious punch of racy acidity and orchard fruit. There’s a lovely weight to it that means the wine lingers a while in your mouth. Luxury Lifestyle Magazine

2024 Port Phillip Red Hill Chardonnay

Port Philip wines could not be more chiselled or elegant if they tried. My headliner, 2024 Red Hill Chardonnay, is a nervy, sea-spray- and white-flower-imbued stunner, with a quietness and precision that would make a Swiss watchmaker sit up and pay attention. These are charming wines that hark back to a bygone era, and they certainly tug on my nostalgic heartstrings with their featherlight alcohol levels and linear flavour delivery. Matthew Jukes, Top 100 Australian Wines

Stellar, intense, toasted hazelnut and citrus Cote d’Or-aping charms of the magnificent Mornington Peninsula 2024 Port Phillip Red Hill Chardonnay Jane MacQuitty The Times

2023 Moss Wood, Amy's

An incredible wine, and it’s darker, smokier, sweeter-fruited and oakier than of late. This is a more luxuriant, hedonistic style, with a burst of ripeness on the finish, shifting its Euro leanings from Bordeaux to Ribeira!

And I know I don’t need to mention this, because everyone on Earth should know, but the value here is mind-boggling!" Matthew Jukes Top 100 Australian Wines

2021 Estate, Puriri Hills

Utterly stupendous Merlot dominant Kiwi red, seemingly genetically engineered to be drunk with spring lamb and roast potatoes… Wow! One of the best wines that I have tasted this year. Joe Wadsack

2022 Château de Montfrin, à la rêverie, Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge,

This is a spectacular red wine and one of the most evocative and downright delicious Rhône blends I have tasted in years. Grenache-based, with hints of Syrah and Carignan, ‘à la rêverie’ is a modern, bright, lusty red, with no traces of over-ripeness or unnecessary oak interference. In fact, it is as expressive and plush as any Grenache I have tasted this year … Packed with dark fruit and exotic mulberry and damson details with lovely spice, earth and florals, the perfume is superb and the palate even more enticing. It finishes crisp and energetic, making it absolutely on point right now. Given the price, this ought to be an immediate purchase for everyone who reads this review. It will be your failsafe and joyous red wine for all autumnal and wintry entertaining this year! As the name suggests – ‘here’s to daydreams’, and while this is a lovely sentiment, this wine is a reality! 18/20pts Mathew Jukes

Kelly Washington, Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2022

Spicy dark-red fruit without being obviously oaky. A little more oaky on the palate but it brings a smooth texture and no unwanted sweetness. Savoury Pinot with refined tannins and some grip on the finish. Real presence here. 17/20 pts. Julia Harding, JancisRobinson.com

Kopke 80 yr old Tawny – Decanter’s Wines of the Year 2025

Extraordinary depth, balance and nuance in a wine that is more an experience than a drink. Linear, vivid acid carries the dense flavours of dried apricot, loquat, poached cherries and strawberry jam. At the core there's unctuous plum sorbet, meaty walnut, salted caramel and melting dark chocolate. Over it all, hovers a dense, perfumed layer of mahogany, cherry leaves, crushed violets and camphor with a smokey seam of Rooibos, coffee and peat. Very long finish with tingling nutmeg, white pepper and cinnamon 98pts, Ines Salpico, Decanter
