Uncle Nearest 1856 Whiskey (6 x 70CL)
Uncle Nearest was created by fifth-generation master blender Victoria Eady Butler to honour her great-great-grandfather, Nearest Green. Known as Uncle Nearest to friends and family, he was the first African-American master distiller on record in the USA, and who taught a certain Jack Daniel about the art of distilling in the mid-1800s. The 1856 is bottled at 100 US proof, and is a rich, masterfully crafted whiskey, with lots of citrus, chocolate and sweet banana, with creamy fudge and runny honey on the palate.
