The King’s Ginger Liqueur, 29.9% ABV (50CL)
King’s Ginger is named after King Edward VII who wanted a drink to warm and revive him after days out driving in his new automobile. His doctor created this intense, spicy liqueur which is made from macerating fresh root ginger in alcohol, to which is added lemon peel, a load of sugar and a touch of whisky. The result is as you would imagine: warming, fiery and invigorating. Serve over ice, or add a small amount to a Champagne flute and top up with sparkling wine.
