This is a single barrel of 2016 unnamed George Dickel Tennessee Sour Mash Bourbon. It’s 8 years old, spent 3 years in Tennessee and 5 in Scotland, matured fully in a new American oak barrel and made from a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. Very juicy, warming and spicy. Bags of liquorice, blood orange, cloves and varnish! Classical sour mash Bourbon profile with excellent richness and maturity. Thick, creamy vanillin, wood spices, cocktail bitters and aniseed. Sweet black liquorice, tar extracts, herbal extracts and pine wood notes. More lovely deeply spiced marmalade vibes! Pure Old Fashioned juice! Long, resinous crystalised orange peel, oak spices, clove, liquorice, aniseed and mentholated and medicinal vibes.
