Oldenburg Mixed Case (1 x Mixed Case)
Oldenburg have always impressed us, since we started importing their wines to the UK a few years ago. From entry level to fine wine, they offer some of the best value bottles we sell. Located in the Banghoek Valley, not far from Stellenbosch, the vineyards are planted with selected virus free clones and with the aim of producing small volumes of bespoke fine wines.
We’ve picked a selection of wines that really showcase the outstanding range of this estate - including a Chenin, a Chardonnay, a white blend, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir and the 2016 Rhodium, a premium Bordeaux blend

The wine has a pale gold hue, and an inviting nose filled with orange blossom, stone fruit and fresh pineapple. The palate is balanced, with subtle oak flavours on one side and fresh peach, pineapple and grapefruit on the other. Lees contact added a fleshy texture, with lingering flavours of yellow apples and tangerines and a clean, juicy finish.

Showing a deep, luxurious garnet colour, this wine promises a complexity
and lushness. Shy at first, the inviting nose opens in the glass and the wine
unfolds to deliver waves of sandalwood, blackcurrant, violets, nutmeg,
cherry tobacco, rosemary and lavender. Hints of liquorice and juicy black
fruit follows through on the palate, with mouth-watering acidity and
plushy tannins. Braised plums, brambles and luscious cherries complete
the flavour profile. A fabulous wine that will benefit from ageing for
another 10 – 12 years at the very least.

Beautiful and poised, this shows flavours of apricot, quince and red apple, with subtle oak notes of vanilla and smoke. Quite powerful, yet beautifully chiseled, this shows real
elegance on the long finish.

Attractive golden hue leads to a complex nose filled with aromas of yellow apples, fresh pineapple, honeysuckle and a touch of cinnamon. The integrated citrus-like acidity adds a vibrant freshness to the wine. The mid palate has a beautiful texture, filled with flavours of ripe peaches and apricots to compliment the oak. The wine shows pleasant lingering flavours of white peach on the finish. The wine should develop more complexity over the next 5-6 years.

A pleasant, light ruby hue meets the eye. The bouquet is voluptuous and
inviting, filled with red fruit aromas like redcurrants and cherries, alongside
grapefruit. The palate shows candy-like undertones, with subtle hints of spice
and vanilla. A beautiful, pleasant mouth-feel is created with well-structured
tannins for such a light-bodied wine, matched with a balanced acidity. It has a
wonderful lingering finish, packed with cherries as well as vanilla.
