Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt celebrates Nikka's founder, Masataka Taketsuru. The blend combines a high percentage of malt from Miyagiko (fruity, rich whisky from Coffey stills) with the remainder coming from Yoich (oily, peated, savoury whiskies). Aged on average for ten years in a variety of cask types, including sherry wood for richness, this whisky is a beautiful marriage of stewed fruit and raisin flavours, with fresh green apple and a touch of smoke.
