Bold, ripe, fresh-apple nose. A little bit smoky, grapefruit, lemon. Dry but not judderingly so – the fruit fills out the palate. Interesting pithy bitterness on the finish. More substance and elan than their Cuvée Royale Brut. Worth paying the extra.
