Botanist Islay Dry Gin, 46% ABV (70CL)
Created at Bruichladdich on Islay, the Botanist is a fantastic gin made from 31 botanicals, with many foraged on Islay itself. Wild and engrossing, the Botanist has big notes of citrus, layered with aromatic floral and herbal qualities. Cool, calm and collected, it reveals itself slowly, showing a lovely balance between the slightly woody, herbal, spicy notes and a lively, fresh citrus flavour that keeps you going back for more. A really wonderful gin.
The Botanist is fantastic in a martini, or go wild with a Botanist and tonic garnished with fresh sorrel.
Distilled at Bruichladdich on Islay in their infamous Ugly Betty still which has been said to look more like an upturned dustbin made of copper. 31 botanicals, including 22 foraged on Islay. Core botanicals are macerated for 12 hours, with the foraged botanicals held in a muslin bag in the still, allowing the vapours to gently pass through.
