2023 Moss Wood Semillon, Margaret River, Western Australia
Medium straw colour, with some green tints. The nose is ethereal, with lifted perfumes of lemon sherbet, green apples, honey suckle and figs. Underneath there is just some early suggestions of the variety's complex features like lanolin and mushroom. The palate shows fruit flavours of limes, figs and lychees and is rich, generous and mouth-filling

Vinous
This 2023 Semillon is immediately engaging thanks to an excellent upfront volume of hay and honeydew melon with touches of lanolin, which offers an impressive start. It then delivers a nicely textured and weighty style with fine acidity and impresses with sheer power and youthful energy. This is an excellent vintage for this Margaret River classic.
