2021 Clos de la Molenie, Cuvee Michelot, Bordeaux Superieur
The 2021 Michelot is aged for 12 months in second-fill barrels. It is quite deep in color. Blackcurrant dominates the potent and pure nose, perhaps missing a little complexity but there are loads of fruit considering the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and fine acidity, maybe just a little monotone on the finish, but there is an attractive granular texture here. Fine.

Vinous
The 2021 Michelot is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It offers good textural depth, but vegetal notes are present and impossible to look past.
