2019 Moss Wood Amy’s, Margaret River, Western Australia
Tasting note
With lifted dark fruit aromas of mulberries and blackcurrants, backed by some spicy, white pepper notes from the Malbec and musk-like perfumes from the Petit Verdot and with complex cedar and tarry notes in the background. The palate is dominated by dark fruit notes, with juicy blackberry and red currant flavours backed by firm but ripe tannins and juicy acidity.
Our thoughts
Amy’s is Moss Wood’s Bordeaux-style blend for your everyday drinking, and it’s always worth having plenty in your wine racks. Cabernet and Merlot led, it has all the classic fruit notes of dark berries, alongside savoury pepper aromas and cedar, tarry notes. It’s one of our bestsellers - with good reason - and we cannot recommend it enough
