2019 Barbaresco Basarin, Paitin (6 x Bottle)
Quite shy at first, this opens out in the glass with bright red cherry and raspberry fruit and hints
of mint and liquorice. Really profound aromatics, the tannins are fine and powerful, making
this a Barbaresco with legs. Drink 2025 - 2038

Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2019 Barbaresco Basarin is subdued and graceful on first nose, and the wine continues in a similar vein throughout. It opens readily to cassis, wild cherry and rose, followed by licorice and tar. The 2019 vintage is characterized by firm quality fruit that adds to lasting density and length. Production is 3,125 bottles, and the Paitin house style always prioritizes elegance and finesse.

Vinous
The 2019 Barbaresco Basarin, here in its second release, is terrific. It shows a slightly dark fruit profile along with notable textural richness and a feeling of creaminess that is quite appealing. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol and licorice are some of the many notes that take shape in the glass. There’s real depth and substance here.
