2018 Mountain Tides California Petite Sirah
Predominately from the Clements Hills and Palmero vineyards in Lodi, blended with fruit from Contra Costa County and Dry Creek Valley. Vivid heliotrope highlights in the glass, this is a world away from the inky, black wines of California’s past. Bursting with berry and bramble fruits and floral highlights, the aromas are fresh and immediately appealing. The palate has a fine, silken texture, with lively acidity and a very moderate 13.4% alcohol. Bright and buoyant, this is a playful and joyous wine that will pair with a wide variety of foods and can also be enjoyed on its own. It would work beautifully lightly chilled when the temperature is more Napa than Notting Hill.
