The 2018 Golden Slopes is whole-bunch-pressed Chenin Blanc matured in 1,200-liter foudres and bottled unfiltered. The nose needs to coalesce a little more, only reluctantly offering beeswax and honeysuckle with rigorous aeration. The palate is well balanced with marmalade and quince on the entry. This is tight, linear and quite penetrating Chenin Blanc with palpable energy toward the lively finish. Excellent.
