2018 Corton Charlemagne, Grand Cru, Domaine Antonin Guyon (6 x Bottle)

France Burgundy Cote de Beaune

An 0.85-hectare blend of two parcels, with the majority of the blend coming from Le Charlemagne. These are exciting times on the hill of Corton, with the news that Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has leased a small parcel of Corton-Charlemagne from Domaine Bonneau-du-Martray. The frst vintage of DRC Corton-Charlemagne is expected to be 2019. Domaine Antonin Guyon make in our opinion one of the most classic expressions of the terroir, and certainly one of the best values. A wine that is so often a highlight of our tasting trip, the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne does not disappoint. A vivid nose of nectarine and yellow plum, with a fine bead of acidity across the palate that takes the reins from the exuberance of the fruit. This has everyone you would seek in a Corton-Charlemagne. Superb.
