It's a winner.

I tasted from several barrels destined for the 2018 Cornas. While they showed a spectrum of fruit flavors ranging from red currant to cassis, they all revealed ample concentration and depth framed by ripe, silky tannins.

Vinous
Inky ruby. Mineral-inflected red and blue fruits on the assertively perfumed nose, along with incense, exotic spice and floral nuances. Alluringly sweet and penetrating in the mouth, offering intense boysenberry and raspberry preserve flavors supported by a core of juicy acidity. Fine-grained tannins add shape to an impressively long, sappy finish that strongly echoes the floral and mineral notes. This is really quite elegant.
