The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru does not possess the tension or mineralité as Coffinet-Duvernay's Les Caillerets, and just feels a little flat by direct comparison. The palate is balanced with good weight, plenty of extract, slightly waxy in texture with a phenolic finish. Fine, but I would afford it another couple of years in bottle.
