The palate is beautifully balanced and poised, demonstrating the finest tension and energy among Droin’s Premier Crus, with more bite toward the finish. Superb.

The 2018 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru is dense, powerful and textured in feel. Pear, apricot, spice and floral notes are all given an extra kick of richness in 2018. Creamy and open, but with good underlying structure, the Milieu is going to need a bit of bottle age to be at its very best, but it certainly offers terrific potential.
