The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Champs Perdrix is 100% whole clusters, raised in 30% new oak. It has an excellent, quite cerebral bouquet of red and black fruit and loamy scents mixed with fern. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, good weight in the mouth, a fine thread of acidity and impressive focus toward the finish. More Premier Cru in quality, if you ask me.
