2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Noyers Brets, Domaine Jean-Marc Pillot (Bottle)

Aromas of yellow peach and light sulfides complicated by an element of mineral reduction. In a fat, sweet style, with more guts and concentration than the village Meursault, not to mention more thrust on the back end. A round, easygoing wine with some mineral reserve. Pillot told me that the yield here was about 50 hectoliters per hectare and that some of these vines date back to 1913.
