2017 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne, Remoissenet Pere & Fils (3 x Magnum)
(this parcel was harvested first among what Rovani called Remoissenet's serious crus): Aromas of soft citrus and exotic fruits are complicated by wild herbs, minerals and clove. Plush, silky and broad but energetic as well, with its flavors of crushed rock and spices in need of more time in barrel--and bottle--to expand. Finishes with noteworthy spicy length. (Yes, that's the spelling on the label, although I've seen older vintages of this wine spelled Les Garennes.)
