2016 Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz, Penfolds, South Australia (6 x Bottle)
Youthful purple. Powerful, spice-accented scents of ripe dark fruits, licorice, candied violet and smoky minerals, with a hint of coconut in the background. Juicy and supple on the palate, offering intense black and blue fruit, bitter cherry and mocha flavors that are sharpened by a spicy suggestion of cracked pepper. Becomes sweeter and more lively with air and finishes velvety and very long, with harmonious tannins adding shape and gentle grip.

The full-bodied 2016 Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz is a blend of fruit from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Padthaway, Upper Adelaide and Wrattonbully. It’s a warm-climate, rich, plush Shiraz, with a velvety mouthfeel and lingering savory notes on the finish.
