2015 Clos St. Denis, Grand Cru, Lucien Le Moine (Bottle)

France Burgundy Nuits

Bright, dark red. Wild, earthy aromas of raspberry, currant, smoky minerals, coffee, dried rose and spices; perhaps a touch reduced but at the same time explosive and alive. Wonderfully silky and broad but light on its feet; doesn t show the chocolatey ripeness or baby fat of some of these 2015s but seriously fine-grained and concentrated, with its terrific savory minerality accentuated by pepper and floral nuances. Finishes with firm tannins, outstanding slowly mounting length and adamant saline minerality. This should be long-lived.
