2014 Morey St. Denis, 1er Cru Clos de la Bussiere, Domaine Georges Roumier (6 x Bottle)
Bright dark red. Open-knit aromas of raspberry, brown spices and chocolate. Densely packed and velvety for the vintage and for the cru, with red berry, brown spice and iron flavors complemented by a salty quality. This rich, rather pliant 2014 finishes with excellent length and smooth tannins. While it should offer considerable early appeal, it also has the stuffing to age.

Vinous
Bright red with ruby tones. Musky aromas of raspberry, iron and fresh blood. Sweet, plush and smooth on entry, offering good density, then turns a bit firmer on the back half, with substantial dusty tannins nicely supported by the wine’s flesh. A bit less refined than the village Chambolle but has more backbone.
