Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The 2014 Pindefleurs was showing some reduction on the nose when I tasted it from bottle, though this blew away to reveal attractive black plum and tertiary/wet moss-like aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with strict tannin that lend this Saint Emilion a rather brusque and stern personality. It feels fresh in the mouth, but it is not a wine that goes out to really appease the consumer. However, if you like classic, you might say old-fashioned Saint Emilion, then you will enjoy this and I must admit, there is nothing wrong with a bit of discipline every now and again.
