2012 Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs, Gift Box (Bottle)

Delicate pale lemon. The nose is opulent in its youth displaying ripe stone fruits on the nose, candied lemon peel and grapefruit. Creamy autolytic mouth feel with a refreshing backbone of acidity. The wine has a persistence of length and character.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Disgorged in March 2017, the 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs is excellent, delivering a complex bouquet of warm pastry, dried white flowers, lemon oil and some smoky, gently reductive top notes. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a rich but precise core of fruit that reveals all the concentration of the vintage but is elegantly rendered, underpinned by tangy acids and concluding with a precise, chalky finish.

Vinous

Pol Roger’s 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs is terrific. The natural ripeness of the year amps up the Chardonnay flavors. Rich and ample in the glass, with tons of depth, the 2012 really shines. Readers should expect a pretty big Champagne, but all the elements are nicely balanced. Disgorged: February, 2019.

Vinous

The 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs is another attractive Champagne in this trio of 2012s from Pol Roger. Ample and creamy, the 2012 is super-expressive today, with plenty of apricot, brioche, baked apple tart and toasty character. An initial burst of exuberance gives way to greater refinement over time. This is very nicely done.
