1990 Grosperrin Fins Bois Cognac, Bottled Nov 2022 (70CL)

France Cognac Fins Bois

This vintage Cognac comes from a winegrower from the village of Siecq, located between Rouillac and Matha. This small mixed farming estate (animals, cereals) is typical of the agricultural estates of the region. Through three successive harvests (1988, 1989, 1990), the winegrower had only been able to keep one barrel of Cognac for each year. This single cask of 1990 was aged under State control since its distillation.

Amber color. On the nose, musky, vinous aromas (old Sémillon), with a waxed side lined with acetic notes. In the mouth, a beautiful attack, the first notes are waxy, with a predominance of nutmeg and licorice. At once supple and rustic, it’s a cognac enterring the fullness of age.
