The latest releases from Piedmont tell the story of two very different vintages. Barolo 2018 was a challenging vintage that produced some lovely wines that will be ready to drink sooner – but in very limited quantities. Barbaresco 2019, however, offers the first glance of wines from an outstanding year for Piedmont which has produced excellent Barbaresco that will reward patience.
