Now The Dust Has Settled
· Ben Pearson Ben Pearson onNow that the dust has settled following our Summer Tasting, we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our customers in attendance, and to all the producers who made the trip over to pour their wares and chat all evening. It was the first time in over a decade that we have put on a tasting of this size, and we are extremely humbled by the wonderful response from everyone. Needless to say, it won’t be too long until we put on another!
Our aim was to showcase not only the more traditional wines of Europe, but also the best of the new world and some of the more out of the ordinary wines we ship. This produced a wonderfully varied selection that included some very prestigious names from Champagne (Dom Perignon, Krug, Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot), Bordeaux (La Fleur Petrus) and Tuscany (Podere le Ripi), alongside some fantastic wines from small family producers from lesser known regions, such as Mont Rubi and Hunters. Moreover, we even chose to show some incredible beers from Orbit, ciders from Oliver’s Cider & Perry and mezcals from Del Maguey. We hoped to show you that Jeroboams is perhaps a little more adventurous than you first thought!
To relive the festivities of that great night, below are a few snaps. For those of you who could not make it, we will be back with another one sooner rather than later.
